Due to the uncertainty of access to the Park, new reservations are limited for future dates and sell out fast, please book in advance accordingly. Visitors are encouraged to be vigilant and check the DOT webpage for current access hours and protocols.

Advance reservations are now required for all vehicles, walk-in entry, and shuttle riders visiting Hāʻena State Park, as well as for day hikers accessing the Kalalau Trail. The first two miles of the Kalalau trail you will need valid entry into the park. Plan your trip accordingly. Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance, and no later than the day before your visit*.

Limited overnight parking is now available for campers with Kalalau overnight permits for Napali Coast State Wilderness Park. Camping permits must be acquired from State Parks prior to purchasing overnight parking. These spots are available for purchase up to 30 in advance and users will be charged for the number of days your vehicle occupies the lot (e.g. a one night stay will require paying for 2 days, a 4 night stay will require paying for 5 days, etc.).

*State of Hawaii residents are exempt from the fee/reservation requirement – proof of state residency is required at time of entry. Proof of residency = Hawaii Driver’s license or Hawaii State ID. Visitors accompanying State of Hawaii residents to visit Hāʻena State Park are not exempt from the entry fee.
