Learn about Kalalau Camping
Kalalau camping permit required to hike beyond Hanakāpī’ai along the coast, even just for a day hike. Camping allowed at Hanakoa and Kalalau (with Kalalau permit, which also includes entry to Hā‘ena State Park).
Miloli’i camping permits do NOT include entry to Hā’ena State Park or Kalalau Trail because Miloli’i is accessed via the OCEAN.

Purchase Camping Permit
Purchase Camping Permits up to 90 days in advance. Permit must list all hikers, IDs checked at park entrance. Campers may be dropped off. If you need parking, see below.

For Kalalau Camping Permit holders only. Purchase parking for all days your vehicle will be in the lot.. 1-night camping requires 2 days parking (minimum purchase), 4-nights require 5-days. Select dates and then enter your permit # and other details. Overnight Parking released 90 days in advance.

NOTE: The parking lot at Hā‘ena State Park is under construction, reducing available parking. Here are two options for overnight parking (transportation to the park is not included):

We recommend our Shuttle + Entry passes for transportation, available on our website. Shuttle passes are round trip, valid for all days on your camping permit. Note: No overnight parking at shuttle pick-up locations other than Wainiha Country Market.
